HEATED DEBATES

The Doon School MUN was held from 21st to 23rd August 2015 where over 400 delegates from 35 schools participated. The committees included ICJ,HRC,SC, Historical SC, Lok Sabha to name a few. The agendas of each of the committees were based on contemporary world issues of Terrorism, control and struggle over International Waters, debates in Lok Sabha on the Land Acquisition Bill and Net Neutrality. The crisis in General Assembly added much excitement in the already charged atmosphere of intense debates, rebuttal and counter arguments. The level of preparedness of the delegates resulted in a lot of learning and  out of the box solutions to major problems. It was a wonderful opportunity for the13 strong RKKians - Padmini Yadav, Avya Dhariwal, Supriya Bhandari, Shubhangi Malani, Avnika Baid, Sakshi Chopra, Ishita Khicher, Bhavya Tak, Sanghmitra Singh, Anushree Agarwal, Srinjana Deb, Diksha Tharwani, Pragya Panwar and their teacher escort Mrs. S. Bhattacharya to imbibe the skills of a great MUNer.
