APPRECIATION FROM ALL CORNERS


A team of 12 students - Bhavya Gehlot, Prachee Khatri, Twarita Chouhan, Mandavi Krishnawat, Urvi Chaurasia, Priyadarshni Bhati, Saumyaa Jain, Jahnvi Mittal, Disha Hadimani, Tisha Jain, Ira Ali, Madhurima Rathore and their Teacher Escorts Ms Mahua & Mr Manoj Kumar Sandha participated in ‘5th Shrimant Madhav Rao Scindia ‘Dharohar’ A Heritage Fest for Girls’ held at Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya, Gwalior from 19th to 21st April 2017. The theme this year was ‘ODISHA HERITAGE’ which has a rich cultural and artistic heritage with distinct traditions of painting, architecture, sculpture, handicrafts, music and dance. There were 9 different competitions like 1) Kumbhar Kama - terracotta 2) Sunder suchisilpa-embroidery 3) Dbiphara khadya-Cuisine from Odisha 4) Tussar patta-Silk painting 5) Saura Chitrankan-Wall Painting 6) ‘Incredible Odisha’ - Design a Tourism Promotional Brochure 7) ‘Odisha’ in my School’ - Video voicing   8) ‘Nachha’ the Folk Dance of Odisha 9) Semi classical Bhajans-From bhakti kabi Jayadeva’s Geetgobind. Hard work of teacher trainers and students bore fruit and Urvi Chaurasia won second position in Saura Chitrankan-Wall Painting, Priyadarshni Bhati & Madhurima Rathore won second position in Dbiphara khadya-Cuisine from Odisha, Prachee Khatri bagged third position in Tussar patta-Silk painting, Priyadarshni Bhati, Bhavya Gehlot, Disha Hadimani & Tisha Jain secured third position in Semi classical Bhajans, Mandavi Krishnawat & Saumyaa Jain won third position in Sunder suchisilpa-embroidery. RKK’s team made it to the third position, winning appreciation from all corners.
