SUNBEAM SCHOOL, VARANASI - INTER CULTURAL EXCHANGE PROGRAM (SENDING)

"You may leave Banaras, but Banaras never leaves you…"

A team of 7 students - Darshika Rathore, Krishna Bishnoi, Anvi Garg, Manju Kanwar Deora, Princee Agarwal, Paridhi Jain, Sangeeta Bishnoi with their Teacher Escort Mukta Singh had experienced Inter Cultural Exchange Program (Sending) from 21st to 28th April 2025 to the magical city of Varanasi from RKK.

This journey was more than just travel—it was an opportunity to learn, connect, and immerse ourselves in the true essence of India's heritage. Hosted in one of the oldest living cities in the world, our time in Varanasi was filled with enriching experiences that left a lasting impact on all of us. We were warmly welcomed by our host school, Sunbeam Lahartara, whose hospitality and kindness made us feel right at home. The exchange of ideas, languages, and cultures helped us develop a deeper appreciation for India’s diversity and unity.

RKK had the privilege of witnessing the iconic Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat, where priests perform a mesmerizing evening ritual with lamps and chants, also visited the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, one of the most significant Hindu pilgrimage sites, dedicated to Lord Shiva, also experienced the serene beauty of Subah-e-Banaras.

Other key sites explored included the sacred Manikarnika Ghat, Assi Ghat, and Sarnath, where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon. Temples visit, including Sankat Mochan, Durga Temple, New Vishwanath Temple, and Tulsi Manas Temple. Art and history came alive at the Bharat Kala Bhavan Museum inside BHU.

The team visited Panini Mahavidyalaya, an esteemed center for Sanskrit learning, reflecting Varanasi's ancient academic legacy. Another highlight was a trip to Ramnagar Fort, an 18th-century fort.  We at RKK truly encourage more students to take part in such exchange programs to explore the world beyond the classroom and discover learning in its most enriching form.
