A handwriting workshop was conducted on 11.4.2025 for the Pre-Primary and Primary departments, focusing on the effective use of the Marion Richardson handwriting pattern which gave an insight to the Teachers to enhance handwriting skills of students. The workshop was facilitated by Mrs Madhvi Singh. The session began with a brief introduction to the significance of good handwriting for both students and educators. The major highlights were:
1) Pattern followed for English alphabets in Marion Richardson pattern of handwriting.
The purpose of following this specific pattern is not only limited to the legible handwriting but to bridge the reading and writing relation for foundation stage kids.
2) Same pattern helps a smooth transition for the kids at different stages.
3) Hindi (स्वर, व्यंजन, वर्ण) were discussed both for their phonics and writing patterns.
4) Practical tips on posture, pen and paper positioning for basic start like date pattern were also shared with all the queries from participants being resolved.
5) Hindi and numeric number patterns were discussed.
Worksheets were distributed to practice the style. The workshop concluded with a Q&A session, where participants clarified their doubts and received personalized suggestions.
The hand writing workshop was a resounding success, helping all the educators for better understanding of patterns and purpose for uniform handwriting specially at early stages inclusive of their board work presentation too.
