SCHOOL EXCURSION TRIP TO MEHRANGARH FORT


On the bright morning of 21st December, the students of Grades 8 and 9 embarked on an educational and recreational excursion to the historic Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The trip was organized to enrich the student's knowledge of India's cultural heritage while allowing them to experience history firsthand.

Accompanied by eight teachers, the students departed from school at 9:00 AM ,filled with excitement and curiosity. Upon reaching the majestic Mehrangarh Fort, the students were mesmerized by its grandeur and architecture, perched high above the city.

The tour began with a guided walkthrough of the fort's massive gates, courtyards, and palaces. The guide narrated fascinating tales of valor, royal traditions, and architectural brilliance. Highlights of the tour included the Sheesh Mahal, Phool Mahal, and the fort museum, which displayed exquisite artifacts such as royal costumes, weapons, and miniature paintings. Students visited Rani sa and Padma sa lake which are manmade lakes. The students were particularly amazed by the panoramic view of the Blue City from the fort's ramparts. The students were mesmerized by the architectural view of Jaswant Thada and smitten by it’s beauty.

The excursion also included an interactive session where students asked questions about the fort's history, architecture, and its role in India's heritage. The guide and teachers encouraged active participation, making it a truly educational experience. Handouts of questions about the history of Fort were given to the students and they had to write the answers during the trip itself.

The visit to Mehrangarh Fort was undoubtedly an unforgettable experience, leaving everyone with a deeper appreciation for India's glorious past.
