AFS SINFONIETTA COMPETITION (AURUM INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, HALDWANI, UTTARAKHAND)

Students of RKKGPS participated in the AFS Sinfonietta Competition hosted by Aurum International School, Haldwani, Uttarakhand on May 15th and 16th, under the guidance of their teacher in charge, Mrs. Radhika Singh. Great minds from all over India came together to share their insights. Each school was allowed to enter one student per category. The categories and participants were as follows:

1. Poem Writing (Bhavya Bhati) : The event began with a 5-minute briefing session for all delegates. Participants were shown a portrait for 2 minutes and then had 20 minutes to compose a poem reflecting their thoughts and insights. The portrait depicted a man standing on a mountain cliff with rising tides around him, evoking themes of bravery and fearlessness. Participants then recited their poems in front of the Executive Board and other delegates. They were judged based on composition, body language, and pronunciation. Overall, it was an experience full of learning and creativity.

2. Scriptwriting (Samaira Dias, IX-B) : The event started with a short meeting where participants were informed about the rules and listened to an audio recording. Their task was to craft a script based on the sequence of sounds in the audio, which included a variety of random noises such as birds twittering, rain, footsteps, cutlery, trains, horns, and alarms. They were given 2 hours to complete their scripts, with no restrictions on the writing format, allowing for maximum creativity. This unique and creative challenge was enriching and unlike anything the participants had experienced before. The competition not only highlighted the creative talents of our students but also fostered a spirit of collaboration and innovation.
