The RS Postcard Meeting with Armidale School took place on
7th September 2022, from 9:30 am to 10:40 am. It was a virtual meet. The topic was
‘Fighting Fascism with the Arts’. The participating students were – Vanshika Bajaj, Shreya Maloo, Lavanya Sharma, Doyal Khandelwal, Avantika Mishra and Laxmi Bishnoi with their Teacher Incharge – Ms Amba Singh Jhabua. Before the call, the hosts invited participants to create a single power point slide outlining their own country’s political system and current leadership and what would they want to change about their political systems . Student participants were told to do a bit of research and be aware of the artists from their own country or region who are fighting for political freedom and challenging oppressive ideas. Before the call, the participating schools uploaded their pre-work. During the meet, the students were sent to different barazza rooms and were asked their perspectives and opinions on how social media or art can be used to fight fascism. The students of RKK gave their opinions confidently and showed enthusiastic participation. They gained a rich and diverse experience and are looking forward to have a new RS Postcard meet with the school soon.
