BIRLA VIDYA MANDIR, NAINITAL (ONLINE - THE IPSC DRAMA FESTIVAL 2022)


The IPSC Drama Festival 2022 (Paribhasha) was organized  online by Birla Vidya Mandir, Nainital (Uttarakhand) on 16th and 17th August 2022. The events were Shakespeare Ekalap: Hindi Radio Play, English Play –Quintet and Sensorium in which Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School, Jodhpur participated in all the three events.

Day 1 :  On  16th August 2022, the event started at 10.30 with the attendance marking of the participants of the English play and the Radio play after which a short Opening Ceremony was conducted and Mr Pranab Mukherjee, the  Chief Guest gave an  inspiring speech.

Soon after, the English play started first with the theme,  'Climate Change' and 'Environmental Justice'. Our play was scheduled to be on the 4th position which was to be performed live. All five participants- Nikita Vijayan (Narrator), Aadya Vivek (Water) Amishi Shukla (Earth) Awantika Mishra (Air) Divya Vishnoi (Silent Tree) completed their live performance. Same day, the Radio play was also held where the topic was Shakespeare Ekalap: Hamlet_ 'To be or not to be 'in Hindi. The participants; Jaya Sankhla and Sheetal Johari were the Voices/Speakers and Nehal Gehlot was the Technical Expert. An audio was recorded for the Monologue, sound effects were added and a digital poster was made on the same. The event ended with a smile on everyone's face.

Day 2  : On 17th August 2022, the event started with a small speech and the Sensorium plays took the lead. Soon after the completion of all the  plays , the results were announced. RKK won laurels in all the  three categories.

Results were :

  • Sheetal Johari – XI, Jaya Sankhla – XI & Nehal Gehlot  - XI B (Tech. Team)  being the members of the  team won 'Outstanding Voice Work’ in Radio – Play Shakespeare Ekalaap.
  • Avantika Mishra – X, Nikita Vijayan – XI, Divya Vishnoi – XI & Amishi Shukla – XII & Aadyaa Vivek - XI being the members of the team won ‘Outstanding Scenography’ in Quintet : English Play.
  • Nikita Singh Bhati – VIII, Kanishka Godara – XII, Swati Punjabi – XII & Vrinda Dubey – XII being the members of the team won 'Outstanding Performance Video (Prelims Submission)’ in Sensorium.


The hard work of the team brought cheers and laurels to the entire school family.
