Online Interactive Session on Menstrual Hygiene (For Class-V) : An online Interactive Session on ‘Menstrual Hygiene’ was conducted by the Global Hunt Foundation on 30th July 2022 for Class V. The session was hosted by Mrs Mehak Kaushik (Manager, Global Hunt Foundation). It entailed a comprehensive understanding on the what, why and how of menstruation comprising meaning of menstruation, develop a biological understanding, talk on related social taboos and awareness about hygiene practices to be maintained during menstruation.
The following subtopics were under taken-
1. Menstruation and its meaning.
2. Biological understanding of the female reproductive system (brief) and menstruation process.
3. Taboos and stereotypes related to menstruation.
4. Awareness about different hygiene practices and brief information on various sanitary products used during menstruation.
The session was very well structured and informative. It was concluded by the host after all the points were covered and answering all queries that were put forward by the students.
