A reading competition was conducted for the students of Class 1 on 14 December, Tuesday 2021 on RKK virtual platform. The students actively participated in it with great enthusiasm. The objective of the competition was to inculcate the reading habit in students, also to enhance the reading skills and to motivate them to read books. The importance of reading cannot be underestimated as reading stretches the child’s mind and introduces him/her to a world of wonder that is literature. In this competition the students were asked to choose a short story based on animals. Then they were asked to record their performance while narrating the story and forward it to their respective subject teachers. All the participants read out their stories with proper diction, fluency and voice modulation.
