SESSION FOR TEACHERS ON EMOTIONAL WELL BEING


A two-hour long session on "Emotional Well Being and Stress Management” was organized by Jindal Institute of Behavioral Science on 26th March 2022. The session was attended by Mrs Seema Baxi (Dean Academics, Seniors), Mrs Neeta Johari (Dean Academics, Juniors) Mrs Indra Shaktawat (Dean Activities), Mr Yatheesh Kasargod (HOD Arts), Ms Aashna Jain (School Counsellor) and Ms Sandra Hill (Coordinator – Pre Primary). Prof of Eminence, Dr. Sanjeev Sahni, Principal Director, JIBS who is also the Professor and Member, Governing Body and Advisor to the Vice Chancellor, OP Jindal Global University was the Speaker of the evening. He highlighted the major causes and symptoms of stress in children and how to deal with them. He also gave some valuable information related to the emotional well-being of teachers. It was an engaging and interactive session. Dr. Sahni connected with the audience quite well. He discussed Sigmund Freud's theories of levels of consciousness, the structure of personality and its application in daily life to understand human behaviour. "Ten Commandments" were given by him, which are essentially some useful tips on how to maintain the happiness quotient in lives, be proactive and stress free.
