CHITTAGONG GRAMMAR SCHOOL, BANGLADESH (RS COLLABORATION)

Bret Har once wisely said-   "If you have got the confidence and the work ethic you can make any dream come true".

On 28th October 2021, Chittagong Grammar School and GCC Club organised Edurite (Session-2) on the topic, “Ëthics" which was represented by following seven students of RKK from grades IX to XI - Lomisha Khetani, Pranjal Soni, Yasha Chopra, Yashna Parashar, Riddhi Lalwani, Divisha Jain and Stuti Arya with their Teacher Incharge Mrs Sapna Gupta. The session began with interactive Barazza Session where everyone shared their opinion on “Ëthics". It was followed by an icebreaking question "One of the 50 things you would do before you die".  Opinion of participants were also asked on some interesting scenarios like :

  • You are driving and in given two paths whichever you choose, the persons/ person would die.  One path includes some workers and the second path includes you. Which path would you choose in an ethical way?
  • A mother gives birth to a child and now wants to give up for adoption. Is this ethical?
  • A mentally ill person has murdered one family. Is it ethical to punish him by death or should he be kept in prison?

These questions really made the participants think out of the box. It was an amazing learning session for the participants and an absolute pleasure to attend it. We constantly face choices that affect the quality of our lives. Ethics can give real and practical guidance to our lives. This session made us aware that choices that we make have consequences both for others and for ourselves.
