GANESH CHATURTHI CELEBRATION

Ganesh Chaturthi Celebration

“O Lord Ganesha, one with a huge body, a curved elephant trunk and whose brilliance is equal to billions of Suns, May you always remove all obstacles from my endeavors.” Ganesh Chaturthi Celebrations were initiated for classes Nursery -Five by the teachers on 11th Sep 2021. Story of competition between Lord Ganesha and Lord Kartikeya was narrated in all the classes, highlighting the importance of respecting elders, especially parents.
Activities like making paper folding Ganesha and his vehicle - the mushak/mouse, Ganesha with circle & semicircles, clay Ganesha and leaf Ganesha were conducted. Children were overjoyed with the activity and also learnt about the importance of festival through story, dance and music.
Students unleashed their creativity by observing their shrines at home and drawing what they saw there, such as flowers, incense, modaks, bells etc. The celebration concluded with Ganesha story, bhajans and dance.
The celebration was thoroughly enjoyed by all the students, it not only made them aware of Indian mythology but inculcated the value of respect through effective storytelling.
