THE INDIAN HIGH SCHOOL, DUBAI – SYMPOSIUM

“A book is a gift you can open again and again”. ~Garrison Keillor

Our literacy heroes strive hard to give us just this gift. To celebrate this gift of our heroes, on the 11th September 2021, Indian High School, Dubai hosted a Round Square Conference on the topic ‘Literacy Heroes.' The delegates from RKK were Prachi Jain, Adwitiya Saxena, Aarohi Bhattacherjee and Aaditri Bhattacherjee with their Teacher Incharge, Ms Reshma Bhattacherjee.

The event commenced with the speech of the Executive members of Round Square addressing the gathering with a word of motivation. Undoubtedly, this was a great way to boost the spirit of the participants. Subsequently, all the participants were welcomed warmly by the host school. Following the motivational words and the warm welcome, the participants were divided into several Barraza groups.

In the Barraza groups, the host and the participants listened eagerly to all participants who presented their literacy heroes. All the participants portrayed unique and enlightening presentations about their literacy heroes. Fun-filled games such as, 'Guess the Author' and 'Guess the book' were really engaging. The event ended with a vote of thanks and a dance by the Indian High School, Dubai. This event provided the participants with the enlightening opportunity of appreciating all our Literacy Heroes.
