PARADIS INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE, ROMANIA (RS VIRTUAL CONFERENCE)


 “Prediction is very difficult, especially if its about the future”. A very wise quote by Neils Bohr, a Noble Prize Winner and one of the greatest scientists.

This informative conference was hosted by Paradis International College, Romania. The conference was held on 10th June ’21.This three- hour conference aimed at improving the insight knowledge of the delegates about the jobs which would disappear in the near future and about the new upcoming job opportunities. All the schools participating in the conference were asked to prepare a small montage according to their perception and knowledge of what could the future jobs could comprise. This activity gave all the participants a moment to ponder upon the reality of the future.  In order to make the conference more worthwhile and educative, all the delegates had the golden opportunity to meet Dr. Adrian Stoica and Mrs. Anurupa Ganguly.

Dr. Adrian Stoica, is a senior research scientist of Nasa’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in the California Institute of Technology, Pasadena (Los Angles) California, United States of America. During his very informative speech, Dr. Adrian shared his experience in various fields regarding robot exploration and artificial intelligence. 

Along with this the participants also had  amazing opportunity to interact with Mrs. Anurupa Ganguly, the founder and CEO of Prisms. She holds a BS and M.Engineering and Electrical Engineering degrees from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston. Additional to this, she holds a Masters in Education in Curriculum and Teaching from Boston University. During an interaction with Mrs. Ganguly, she introduced the delegates to the world of Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR). She told about many new innovative and ingenious methods of how modern technology such as artificial intelligence and 3-D visualisation can improve the learning process for students. She also explained how theoretical knowledge can be applied practically with the help of modern devices such as the Oculus Headsets and many more. Further, Mrs. Ganguly also told about various new technologies such as the Google tiltbrush, Meet VR etc. Throughout the entire conference, various discussions on topics such as different job opportunities, jobs which could disappear in near future, the advantages and disadvantages of AI, jobs which could never be replaced with robots, the need for new and advanced technologies etc.. in respective barazza groups were highly enriching . Albeit, the conference was short and sweet, it was extremely  informative. It helped the students in gaining an insight about their tech-savvy future which is wrapped up in innovation and creativity. The conference also helped in unfurling the confidence  of the delegates with respect to the future and encouraged them to become the best versions of themselves. From RKK, students who participated in the conference were Bhavi Kumbhat, Gauri Baxi, Zaina and Sheetal Johari with their Teacher Incharge Mrs. Asha Bajpai.
