“The task ahead of you is never greater than the strength within you”2020 taught us that online platforms and blended education have become the new normal. Students also rose to this challenge and came out successful in all the normal academic activities besides participating in all the co-curricular ones.
In keeping with the trend to provide opportunity to the future leaders to engage, discuss and collaborate on issues that are important and relevant today and indeed the future, 8 RKKians represented Global Debate Competition organised by SAI International School, Bhubaneswar, Odisha on 13th February 2021.
It was yet another platform provided to the young debaters for brushing up their oral skills and encouraging their flair for discussions. This Round Square inspired event was an online debating event for the students across the Globe.
A daylong event, it included three major sections- Argumentative Debate, Turncoat and Extempore. Motivational and inspirational speeches were given by the Chief Guest Mr. Nick Low and Keynote Speaker, Dr. Debanjan Chakraborty.
The competition definitely enhanced 21st Century Skills and stimulated interest for an outstanding experience by the RKKians - Shrushti Karnik who represented for Turncoat (Junior), Adwitiya Saxena for Extempore (Junior), Doyal Khandelwal and Avantika Mishra for Argumentative Debate (Junior), Kirti Soni for Extempore (Senior), Manasvi Salecha for Turncoat Debate (Senior), Nandini Nathawat and Sneha Mirdha for Argumentative Debate (Senior).
Result :- Adwitya Saxena and Shrushti Karnik of Class VI won 2nd Position in Extempore (Junior) & Turncoat Debate (Junior) respectively.
RKKians proved their oratory skills adding glory to the Achievers’ list of school.
