PARK CITY DAY SCHOOL, USA (RS ZOOM POSTCARD CALL)

Five students, Piya Salecha, Pari Salecha, Prathana Sancheti, Adwitiya Saxena, and Vatsala Sharma from RKKGPS participated in the RS Zoom Postcard call hosted by Park City Day School, USA on 3rd February 2021 (Thursday) at 12:30 am after midnight on the topic “Sea Around Us”. This call brought together more than 60 students from 14 schools in the USA, Germany, Romania, India, Armenia, the Bahamas, South Africa,  Canada and Oman to  discuss why we should all care about oceans and how the health of our oceans impact on our everyday lives.

This call aimed to spread awareness about how oceans are being polluted and how can this pollution be controlled. The participants learnt and discussed that the oceans help us breathe, they are an important source of food, helps to regulate the climate and they have the major species on this planet so we all should protect them. Delegates were divided into breakout rooms in which they were asked to present their opinions about protecting the oceans. The delegates shared their opinions on global crisis of ocean pollution. It was indeed an enriching learning experience for all the delegates that gave them a big exposure on the international platform.
