RKK’S 28TH VIRTUAL FOUNDER’S DAY

“RKK will always shine and be in our hearts forever”

The whole world is in the grasp of a unprecedented danger and a very brutal pandemic. But this does not mean that we should lose hope. Being proud Rkkians, the one thing that our alma mater has taught is never to lose hope and rise by overcoming obstacles.

With a never-say-never attitude in mind and pure good will in heart, Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School celebrated its 28th Virtual Founder’s Day on 30th December 2020. The event unfolded into layers of bliss, happiness, excitement and some tears as everyone missed the green grounds of Rkk.

The first few seconds of the event, through the digital screen of mere inches, we  once again reminisced the acre long school and buildings. This image was thus deeply etched into our hearts, even though we weren’t physically present in school.

The event caught up the rhythm as Mrs. Sapna Gupta, Dean, Exchange Programs, welcomed everyone to this hour-long virtual gala. Her words about the institution made everyone watching show miss the school all the more and snaps of our empty classrooms generated a sudden liking towards studies.

This was followed by the ceremonial Lighting of Lamp and seeking blessings from the Almighty. This was suffixed by the elegant Ganesh Vandana which was meticulously performed by Dr. Piyushree Shukla and Mrs. Daksha Singh. The dance left everyone mesmerized. Words from Principal Mrs. Neera Singh filled us with hope, zeal and excitement. There was a sense of belongingness in her words and kindness in her tone.

This was followed by a powerful speech by our Chief Guest, His Highness Maharaja Gaj Singhji Sahib. He talked about the greatness of this institution and the amount of trust he has in the staff and students to carry on the same legacy. Now, it was time for the munchkins of Primary School to show their talent. They danced beautifully on the track “RKK Ki Gatha Suno” that surely put a smile on the face of everyone watching the live show.

Since the very beginning, Rkk has always believed in hardwork and also believes that every ounce of hard work should be appreciated and applauded. It was time for the much awaited Award Ceremony of Classes I to XII which comprised cent percent Attendance Awards, Excellence Award and Special Awards for Class V and Class XII. This Award Ceremony was truly a reflection of the students’ all year long hard work and determination. As the event was coming to an end, it was time for yet another surprise, a joyous dance performance by the Principal and staff members of the Rkk family. Their smiles, dance moves and the song “Hum Phir Se Milenge” filled everyone with emotions that are very difficult to express.

But as all good things come to an end, the 28th Founder’s Day too was reaching its conclusion.  The event was concluded by the speech of the Head Girl, Ms Mansi Agarwal, followed by a Virtual Art Display.

The event that was carried out with utmost sincerity, determination and love made us feel at school while being at home. As we, the students are still adjusting to the new normal of online classes, such a euphoric event, surely gave us new hopes, a tone of smiles and love for the alma mater. It has been tried to sum up all the emotions of fifteen hundred students in 500 words, but  so many emotions are still left unsaid, why? Because RKKGPS offers a lot more than what words can express.
