RS VIRTUAL COLLABORATION PROJECT ORGANIZED BY GGS

It is said that if you want to bring out the best in a child, let them be what they want to be and they’ll end up surprising you with their immense potential. Keeping this thought in mind, Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School participated in a virtual Inclusive Project- “Time to Enhance Your Skills”, organized by Genesis Global School in collaboration with Round Square on December 1, 2020. The learning focus of this collaboration was to involve students of different abilities (Age group- 10 to 12 years) with their peers from all over the globe. This was aimed to help them to participate and perform inclusively with others. Six students of Grade 5: Harshit Puri Goswami of Class V C, Mansi Joshi of Class V C, Parishi Goyal of Class V C, Shriti Jain of Class V A, Khyati Rathi of Class V A and Jagriti Khatri of Class V B were selected to represent RKK.

The virtual session started with a common meeting that was introduced by Diya Bhadana, the student leader of the Project. The students were heartily welcomed by Ms. Leenu Singh, RS Representative of Genesis Global School, who told the participants to be free, to believe in themselves and to never feel inferior to any one in any way. After that, Mr. David Brazeau, the Director and RS Head of Genesis Global School, addressed the participants by encouraging them with his wise words and wishing them good luck. The participants were then asked to join the respective teams they were divided in. The host school carried out a plethora of wonderfully planned activities in pursuit of enhancing their teamwork skills, confidence, tenacity and to help them celebrate diversity through inclusivity. The students of RKK enthusiastically and actively participated in all the activities that were designated to each one of them. They skillfully performed activities like building up stories using colours symbolically, crafting their way through the animal world using origami, assembling fruits to make caterpillars and butterflies and creating a story out of it, pictionary, playing Bingo and Bollywood trivia with emoticons. After all the team sessions ended, the students’ delight and happiness could be seen on their cheerful faces and their never ending appreciation for the pleasant time they had. The students joyfully shared their experiences and it was visible that they had gained a lot of confidence by making new friends and working along with them. The event turned out to be a success as the students made some happy memories to cherish all their lives.
