"Food brings people together on many different levels. It's nourishment of the soul and body ; it's truly Love."This amazing and refreshing virtual Round Square Postcard Call which was on the topic "Culinary Culture and Native Food" was organised by
Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School, Australia on 11th November 2020.It was a great pleasure to attend this delightful Postcard Call which started with a little interaction by the host school team. The session was further taken by a virtual cooking class where the participants were taught to cook American burgers. That cooking class was really fun and helped each one with mastering new skills. The host then decided to move ahead by talking about delicious food prepared by various participants across the world wherein lessons learnt together were about new techniques and methods used to prepare different food items. It was a delight to know how special dishes are made for occasions in different cultures. All the delegates finally shared the images and amazing pictures they had prepared. After having an bewildering discussion about food, the delegates moved to different breakout rooms led by the host school where introduction followed discussion on the topic "HOW FOOD BRINGS ALL CULTURES TOGETHER"
It was interesting and knowledgeable topic to discuss, liked by all. Everyone in their respective room presented their views about the topic. After having a fruitful debate , all moved back to the main meeting to share their response with everyone. This amusing and entertaining Postcard Call ended by discussing impressive information about Australian culture and food.
It was a great realisation of the fact that even common subject like food can bring people together, transport one to other place and help people to explore new customs.
