SYMPOSIUM BY ENVIRONMENT CLUB CADET COLLEGE HASANABDAL, PAKISTAN

Environmental Sustainability is a responsibility interacting with the planet to maintain natural resources and avoid jeopardizing the ability for future generations to meet their needs. A one-day Symposium was organized by the Environment Club of Cadet College Hasanabdal, Pakistan on 28th October 2020. The Symposium was organised to create an opportunity for global citizens to sit together and discuss viable solutions to the galloping and hazardous climate change. Taking up this challenge to bring a positive change in collaboration with CCH Environmental Club, Avantika Mishra from grade 8 and Kirti Soni from grade 11, represented Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School in the Symposium under the topic ‘Sustainable Economic Development-Reducing Reliance on Fossil Fuels’.

The program was declared open on the virtual platform zoom by the host students from CCH. After a brief introduction of the Conference, the 30 delegates from RS schools around the world were asked to present their views on the given topic and were thereafter asked questions based on their content.

The Symposium was graced by two Guest Speakers - Dr. Sajith Wijesuriya (USA) and Dr. Kamran Asif, International Consultant on Environment & Sustainable Development, Thailand.

The Conference was informative and knowledgeable. Sharing the same perspectives of finding a solution as soon as possible, we thought we should strive for a thousand imperfect changes by thousand people rather than one perfect change by one person to save the environment and the world.
