Sporty Funanza 2020‘Sporty Funanza’, an aptly named event, took place on the 8th of February,2020 in the green lawns of RKK. The Pre-Primary students took part in the ‘Fun Races’ while selected students of class V anchored the show.
The event opened with the school anthem sung with pride by our choir. Thereafter, the races commenced with Class Nursery’s ‘Hippity Hop’ and ‘Hawaiian Race’.
The kindergarteners followed suit with fun races like ‘Head-ball’, ‘Three Legged Flower Race’, ‘Swishy Fishy’, ‘Bubble Trouble’, ‘Shape Walk’ and ‘Hurdle Race’.
Class Prep then jogged in with smashing races like ‘Run in a Ring’, ‘Ring The Deer’, ’Build a Castle’, ‘Statue of Liberty Race’, ‘Rainbow Race’ and ‘Funny Bunny Carrot Race’
Our sub junior athletes also participated in the Long Jump, 50m, 100m, 200m, and 4x100m sprints.
Even the parents participated in races with sporting enthusiasm as their children cheered them on.
The winners of all the races were facilitated with medals and prizes by Honourable Yuvrani Sahiba.
As the mega event drew to a close, children of class V performed a cheerleading dance while the entire Pre-Primary troupe held on to gas balloons and waved. As the final closing act, all of them released the balloons together.
This grand finale received a thunderous round of applause from our beloved guests who were left spellbound as the swarm of red and white balloons slowly disappeared into a blanket of azure, exemplifying the message “Each and every one at RKK is a winner!”
