VISIT TO THE SCIENCE PARK

RKKGPS took a wonderful initiative to arrange an educational excursion for the students of Class VI to the Science Park. Learning with fun is the best way to gain knowledge and what could be better than this when a child gets to learn including his / her all sensory organs and developed all the skills through it. The trip was organized on 18th January 2020 where the students excitedly proceeded to the Science Park from school under the supervision of their teachers. The excursion was filled with joy, experiments, learning, exploring and curiosity. Students started taking rounds from different sections , which were well organized and divided in parts. The first area to visit was related to Middle Age inventions. The evolution of Iron, Stone Age, Mechanical Instruments, Wheel Age, Time Calculation etc. were experienced by the students. The pictures, models, and other displays related to it were well explained by the incharges over there. After this they proceeded towards the Physics section where all concepts and experiments related to Light, Sound, Air, Gravity, Weight, Distance etc. were well displayed on mechanical equipment which helped to project a live demonstration infront of the students. It turned them mesmerized and astonished that what they have read in the book so far has come all alive, and real in front of them. The next section to delve into was the Water Department, where the water cycle was the first thing to make student understand that how do we receive water on earth. Later the students were bewildered to know the water mass of their body, individually and amazed to see that how much water is used during the production of single apple or tea etc. which we use in our day to day life, without even thinking about its water consumption during processing. Mechanical demonstration of water pumps and generators were displayed. The different images of funny mirrors turned the students excited and they laughed out loud. Seeing themselves at each other into it and also understood the scientific fact related to it. It was the time for the most fascinating part where the students watched videos on the evolution and extinction of Dinosaurs and the facts about our Solar System. It was followed by a motivational video on Kalpana Chawla. The final part was way more happening as they were taken to the gardens where all ground and prodigious equipments were displayed and they were set free to attempt and try their own hands out on the articles and accoutrements. It was an enjoyable and educational outing and the students gained a lot of knowledge out of it.
