INTERACTIVE SESSION ON AIR POLLUTION

An interactive session was held by Dr S Sundaramoorthy, Ex HOD, Botany Department, Jai Narayan Vyas University, Jodhpur on 19.08.2019 for Classes VI to X. The topic for the session was ‘Understanding Air Pollution’.

Dr Sundaramoorthy discussed about the necessities of life – Air, Water and Food. Air is required the most and is most susceptible to pollution.

The students were told about various pollutants causing Global Warming, like, smoke, fog, smog, sulphur and nitrogen oxides, various green house gases. The session was very interactive and students participated enthusiastically. They brainstormed about possible solutions they can adopt to minimize the effects of air pollution in their own small ways.

He made them realize that environment will continue to deteriorate until pollution practices are abandoned. The only solution to pollution is people’s humane revolution.

The interaction created awareness among the students that they should become the ambassadors to masses and should ‘Spread Solution Not Pollution’.
