‘MUN is a warehouse of knowledge.’A team of 7 students, Tanvee Shukla, Srishti Dalmia, Aarchi Gothi, Bhuvneshwari Rathore, Muskan Singhvi, Shwena Chopra, Ritika Soni and Escort Teacher Ms Neelam Deora attended the PPSMUN organized by The Punjab Public School, Nabha from
16th to 18th April 2019. In was a grand occasion to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of the host school. Total twenty-two schools participated in this prestigious MUN which had seven committees and lasted for three days.
The teams had fun filled Ice-breaking session, which helped them to interact with each other. The Opening Ceremony held on 16 April was addressed by Mr KC Singh, an Indian Civil Servant and the Indian Ambassador to Iran. In his speech he discussed the situation of India after Independence and traits required to be a good diplomat. On 17th April, the Social Evening was thoroughly enjoyed. On 18th April, the MUN came to an end followed by the Closing Ceremony which was addressed by Mr Binayak, Editor-In-Chief of the Hindustan Times and Mrs Binayak, a renowned Counsellor.
It was a moment of immense pride when Shwena Chopra won the ‘Best Journalist Award’ in the Committee of ‘International Press’. The MUN and the Diamond Jubilee Celebration were thoroughly enjoyed by the team. They brought back with them a bag full of wonderful memories to be cherished forever.
