A SMALL ENDEAVOUR

These were the very first lines we read as we stepped in Aastha Old Age Home. Under the Round Square ‘Service’ Pillar, students of Class – 9th took the initiative to visit Aastha Old Age Home on 9th Jan 2016. Selected students of class 9th with AFS host students Julia & Silvia got an opportunity to spend quality time with many old age parents and grandparents. Our brief interaction with them brought smiles on their faces and tears into our eyes. We distributed among them the stuff of daily use collected by entire class 9th and in return we got their blessings and best wishes. From there we proceeded to Love-Kush Orphanage. Mother Teresa rightly said, “The hunger for love is much more difficult to remove than the hunger for bread.” And that hunger for love was easily visible in the eyes of orphan children. We danced, played and sang with them and succeeded in putting bright and shiny smiles on their faces.

We are indeed grateful to Principal Ma’am for sensitizing us from time to time. A big thank you to Sapna Ma’am, Seema Ma’am and all the class teachers of class 9th who made us realize that we all cannot do great things, but we can do small things with great love and together we can do something wonderful.
