LESS FORTUNATE FIND SISTERS IN RKK

Raksha Bandhan is one of the most joyous festivals celebrated all over India, a country with a rich cultural heritage. There are children who do not have any family and they crave for some special moments to be spent with their family members. Raksha Bandhan symbolises a mark of respect for the brother-sister relationship. The thread draws a connection through and through and ties the siblings in infinite love that knows no boundaries. Keeping this in view, on 24th August 2018, a team of students accompanied by Mrs Nirmal Inda Ma’am visited ‘Bal Basera Child Care Home’ and spent about an hour with the 65 orphans and less fortunate inmates of this centre. It was an emotional moment for children between 7 to 15 years when RKKians tied rakhi on their wrist and gave them sweets. What was received as a return gift was priceless love, affection and a million dollar lovely little smile on their faces was really a remarkable moment.

This endeavour inculcated in RKKians the value of sharing joy with the under privileged and sensitized them towards their grief.
