DAUGHTERS ARE PRECIOUS

Rajasthan state has one of the lowest girl child sex ratio in the country due to female foeticide. To ensure survival of girl child, to mobilize the community and to put an end to the misuse of Pre Conception and Pre Natal Diagnostic Techniques, a comprehensive mobilization campaign, named ‘Daughters are Precious’ was conducted on 24th January 2018 at Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School, Jodhpur. This awareness session was led by Dr Rishamjot Kaur. Dr Saroj Choudhary, Ms Sonika and Mr Ramesh also accompanied her and were warmly welcomed by Mansi Agarwal.

Dr Rishamjot Kaur enlightened the students about daughters being the precious jewels in one’s life. The discussion focused on the alarming reality of female foeticide. It aimed at making the people understand the traditional values of Indian culture where a woman is worshipped as a goddess. It also emphasized on women being one entire entity.

The program was concluded by the vote of thanks delivered by Kaveena Maheshwari to the honourable guests. This session definitely paved a way to change the mind-set of today’s society.
