THE ROUND SQUARE SOUTH ASIA & GULF REGION CONFERENCE HOSTED BY RKKGPS

‘Life is either a daring adventure or nothing’ – Helen Keller.

A very simple question to ponder upon is that do we live only for monetary gains and materialistic pursuits and amidst daily chores, joy in our lives is almost forgotten.

Actually, the reality is that when life gets monotonous at times, it needs an extra space where one can enjoy little pleasures of life and ‘Adventure’ is the perfect way to cultivate life. RKK family feels that a life without adventure is a life not lived upon. We should keep aside all the priorities and duties of life, experience adventure and lead a vibrant life. So, Explore, Dream and Discover and enjoy the thrill of any activity which makes us smile and feel happy.

Following the same lines, RKK hosted the Regional Round Square Conference based on the pillar ‘Adventure’ themed ‘Testing Limits’ from 22nd to 24th December 2018 for students of 11 to 13 years.

217 delegates from 22 elite Round Square Member Schools of the South Asia and Gulf Regional were exposed to an enthralling experience. Maj. Gen. R.K. Raina, SM, COS Headquarter, 12 Corps presided as the honorable Chief Guest of the Opening Ceremony on the evening of 21st December 2018. Mrs Neera Singh, the Principal of RKK declared the Conference formally open after her inspiring Welcome Address. Flag March, Welcome Dance, DJ followed by Principal’s Dinner marked the highlights of this Ceremony.

Trip to Jaisalmer on 22nd December 2018 commenced with the students and escorts being briefed about the precautions to be taken during the entire course of program and adventure activities.

Visit to Tanot Mata Temple and Longewala Post (BSF) was an out of the world experience. Bonfire, Music & Folk Dance, Dinner, DJ and overnight stay at Desert Camp escalated the Fun-filled Fiesta.

The next day, thrilling and energizing activities like Zipline, Body Zorbing, Quad Biking, Rock Climbing, Rappelling, Roller Zorb, Camel Safari, Mesmerizing Cultural Celebration with DJ, Talent Hunt and overnight stay at Desert Palace Hotel, Jaisalmer provided a joyful experience to the students. Energy and enthusiasm exhibited by the students was highly engrossing. The entire Conference proved to be a collection of beautiful memories to be savored by all the participants.

The Closing Ceremony became vibrant and colourful with the performances and sharing of Conference Experience by the delegates. Grand Finale by RKKians stole the show. Vote of Thanks, Formal Declaration of the Conference Closed and sharing of the Conference Statement by the Principal marked the culmination of the Conference. These four days gave a platform to the delegates to master the myriad little challenges laid out. ‘Testing Limits’ definitely invigorated the children with a new chapter in their journey to step forward.
