PRESERVATION OF ENDANGERED ORAL TRADITIONS

On 22nd March 2017, the portals of RKK were blessed with the illuminating presence of Dr. Seema Anand, a Mythologist and a Storytelling Specialist, who uses the narratives of the Mahabharata to break down the obstacles to leadership, intelligently and skilfully. Mrs Anand is Masters of Philosophy in oral traditions and a doctor of narrative practices trained in the Homeric, Pauranic and Dastan – go styles of storytelling. Associated with the UNESCO initiative for the preservation of endangered oral traditions, she has performed across India, Europe and the UK. Brilliant and mesmerising storyteller, she reinterpreted and represented the forgotten stories, mythologies and folk lore of India to enchant, mesmerise and enlighten the students and whisk them to faraway lands of fantasy and imagination.
